Prince Jane is New York’s premier queer glam mutant, an alien from a maximalist queer utopia who fell to Earth and decided to make it a whole thing. He’s the creator of genre-bending pop with big vocals, a sardonic bite, and lyrics like a razor wrapped in candy. Think Prince + Freddie Mercury + Lolcats + psychological warfare.

This is the current project of the NYC-based artist formerly known as Ian Abel, a Berklee-trained singer and recovering Yale Whiffenpoof who spent over a decade as a working performer: singing at Carnegie Hall, on Chinese national television, and at festivals from Sun Valley to Edinburgh; sharing stages with Nile Rodgers and the SNL band; and logging years as a regular at NYC venues like Rockwood Music Hall and C'mon Everybody.
